Mediracer® NCS is perfect for diagnosing sensoric nerve entrapments in outpatient setting. It is an efficient tool for general practices, occupational health care, hand surgery, orthopedics, etc.

Current application allows to examine Carpal Tunnel Syndrome related median nerve entrapment.
The test is performed using disposable surface electrodes. Test results can be used to determine whether the finding is abnormal, and to grade its severity. Separate needle-EMG tests are not needed.

The diagnostic method is sensitive (94%) and specific (98%) compared to the conventional NCS performed by a specialist when detecting Median nerve entrapment in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (Acta Neurologica Scandinavica 2007 Jun;115(6):390-7).

More applications will be available soon as they are currently under development by our R&D division.

Mediracer testing can be performed by any Mediracer trained member of the clinical staff.
